April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US is part of a select category of females who have been awarded medals at several Olympics. Alix Klineman, competing for the first time in Tokyo's Olympics is hoping to secure her third gold medal. Ross aims to earn an Olympic the first medal of gold, but she's also hoping to earn even more. It may well be that she has one chance, at 39 years old. However, she's confident that the top awards are at hand. Ross declared on NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even playing well I believe we can win the gold medal." It's also going to be an issue of luck. Ross born August 22nd, 1982 at Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area with her family. Ross competed in many sports during her time at Newport Harbor High School. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball along with basketball as well as track and running. But she stood out in this sport. Her college biography states that she was an outside hitter, middle blocker, as well as a setter throughout her volleyball time at high school. As a tribute to her efforts she was awarded the Gatorade Award for National Player 1999. In 2000, she was awarded the Orange County Athlete of the Yr for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been doing what they do since 2017. The reality is that Ross was a major player on the beach volleyball circuit before joining the duo. It's true that she's won multiple big tournaments as well as one of her partners was a renowned volleyball player. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to the year 2013. Together together with Kessy Ross was awarded an Olympic Title in 2009 while competing on the international circuit. They went on to win a silver at the 2012 Olympic Games at London. The legendary Misty Maytreanor team and Kerri Jennings were the winners of gold. Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor after she retired. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross participated in the Trojans at USC during her college after graduating from high school. The time she spent at USC was impressive. In 2000, as a freshman Her performance was rewarded with the Pac-10 and NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. Her Trojans made it to the Final Four. Her heart was broken through a tragedy in her life during her second year, but she was able to make it an All-American once more. During her final two seasons in the Trojans' program, she led them to victory by winning the national title in consecutive years. In 2003-2004, she was named as the most successful collegiate female volleyball player in the US by The Honda Sports Award. Ross, who was a USC international relations major, was a volleyball star. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter make it to the top of beach volleyball. Ross's mother Margie died in 2001, when Ross was still a USC sophomore. The cancer was diagnosed as breast. As a result, Ross is still close to her parent who died. Margie at the beach as well as in everyday life, inspires her.
